Devices Compatible with Tivo IPTV
Tivo IPTV has no hardware of its own — it runs inside third-party IPTV player apps. That means the compatibility list is essentially "anything that can install a player and get online", which covers almost every streaming device sold in the United States.
Supported devices
| Device | What it needs |
|---|---|
| Smart TV | An IPTV player app in the TV’s own store. Newer Samsung, LG, Sony and TCL sets are fine; some older models have limited options. |
| Amazon Fire TV Stick / Cube | Any current Fire TV device. Players are installed from the Appstore or sideloaded with the Downloader app. |
| Android TV / Google TV box | Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Onn and similar. Installs straight from Google Play. |
| Android phone / tablet | Any phone or tablet on a current Android version. |
| iPhone / iPad | iOS / iPadOS with an App Store IPTV player such as Smarters Player Lite or GSE Smart IPTV. |
| Windows PC / laptop | Windows 10 or 11 with IPTV Smarters Pro or VLC. |
| Mac | macOS with a desktop IPTV player or VLC. |
What you need besides the device
- An internet connection — a wired link or strong Wi-Fi is best for HD
- An IPTV player app installed from the device’s store (or sideloaded on Fire TV)
- The login details issued for your subscription after ordering
How many devices at once?
You can install the app on as many devices as you like. What is limited is simultaneous streams: a 1-screen plan plays on one device at a time, a 2-screen plan on two, a 3-screen plan on three. See Tivo IPTV plans to pick the right number.
No suitable app on your TV?
Some older Smart TVs can’t install a modern IPTV player. The usual fix is a small streaming device — an Amazon Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box — plugged into an HDMI port. Setup is then identical to any Android/Fire device in the setup guide.
